Premise:
This was purely out of interest to see if it was possible since cases for tablets can be purchased for as little as five dollars.
Construction:
The construction is a single piece of cardboard as the foundation. Then I superglued excess polyester fabric I had from a different project onto both sides of the cardboard. The tablet itself is attached by sticky pads that were superglued to the fabric. Finally, a slit was created in the rear to fit the opposite end of the case for use of a stand. To keep the case closed, two Velcro patches were installed using superglue.
Criticism:
The case suffers from uneven edges created during the cutting of the cardboard, attempts to hide the unevenness were attempted but did not produce an effect that was enough to hide it. Furthermore, the polyester used in the case also frays at the edges occasionally and requires the user trim the edges with a blade to resolve it.
